work family me
Conversations with Maude
Welcome to "work/family/me," a series of conversations that delves into the real behind the scenes experiences of women worldwide who have both money earning jobs out in the world and children at home. We will be talking about managing work hours, family finances, domestic chores, childcare, planning and health in a socio-economic structure that places enormous expectations on mothers. Ever wondered why we call it a juggle for working moms and merely life for working dads? Let's explore that together.
Join me as I share insights gained from coaching intelligent and hardworking women who, despite excelling in their careers, struggle with the overwhelming "second shift" of managing everything else in life.
This podcast was partly born out of love for women who feel like they are the only ones "not getting it right" and partly fueled by frustration at the lack of conversations and studies addressing men's roles in the domestic realm.
Together, we explore what works, what doesn't, and how women worldwide are managing their lives. We're at the forefront of the tension between careers and domestic responsibilities and through these conversations I want to invite you to tap into the lived experiences of women globally, gain practical tools, and implement strategies to make your life a bit easier.
New conversations will be published every two weeks, featuring interviews and solos. We talk dishes, guilt, exercise, money, role models, planning, resentment and all the things!
